Privacy Policy

Saga Plant Industry (‘SPI’ below) considers customer trust its top priority. SPI regards the correct and confidential handling of information related to individual customers as an important duty.
For that reason, SPI has established a ‘Privacy Policy’ regarding the personal information of customers, and enforces personal information handling methods across all employees and related companies. The content of this policy is as follows.
Personal information already obtained from customers and used by SPI is also handled in accordance with this policy.

Handling of Personal Information

1. Acquisition of Personal Information

SPI will collect personal information through lawful and fair measures. When requesting that customers provide personal information, SPI will disclose in advance details of the purpose and use of collected information. SPI will limit the collection of personal information to that required in order to fulfill this purpose within the legitimate scope of its operations.

2. Use and Sharing of Personal Information

Personal information obtained by SPI will be used within the scope permitted by the submitter of this information, in accordance with the purpose for which it was collected.
Information will be used only insofar as it is required to achieve the specified purpose, falling within the ‘Scope of Usage Purpose’ below and the legitimate scope of SPI’s operations.

If it becomes necessary to use the personal information of customers for purposes other than those outlined above, such use requires consent from the customer unless permitted by law.

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

SPI will not provide customer personal information to third parties without the consent of the customer.
However, this does not apply in case of special circumstances that require SPI to abide by laws or other standards that pertain to personal information.

4. Process for Disclosure/Amendment of Personal Information

Customers that wish to view, amend or delete submitted personal information are to make their request by contacting the inquiries desk.
Unless fulfilling the request causes considerable obstruction to SPI’s operations, SPI will disclose, amend or delete the customer’s personal information within a reasonable timeframe upon confirmation that the request has been made by the customer in question.

5. Charges related to Personal Information Disclosure, etc.

The person requesting disclosure (individual identified as the customer in question) may be charged with a fee related to the disclosure of information, however, in such cases they will be notified in advance.

Observance of Laws/Standards related to Protection of Personal Information

In regards to personal information it possesses, SPI will observe laws and standards pertaining to the protection of personal information.
This policy was devised in accordance with Japanese law and other standards.
This policy establishes SPI’s basic policy for the handling of personal information. SPI will strive to observe this policy and protect personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws/standards.

Procedures for Secure Management of Personal Information

SPI will take appropriate safety measures, establishing a management system to ensure the accuracy and security of personal information, and to protect it from improper access, loss, destruction, falsification and leakage.
SPI will strive to manage personal information appropriately, including allocating responsibility, restricting outside access to offices handling personal information, and educating all executives/staff in regards to personal information protection.

Ongoing Improvements

SPI will continually re-evaluate and improve its personal information protection efforts to correspond with changes to relevant Japanese laws or shifts in handling methods and environments.
